Iraqi TV: Saddam Hussein (or double)walking down street
Fox News via Iraqi TV | 4/4/2003 | Fox News via Iraqi TV

Posted on 04/04/2003 9:28:19 AM PST by GAGOPSWEEPTOVICTORY

Video shows Saddam walking down alleged Baghdad Street. Typical Iraqi celebration with Iraqis dancing on street with guns. Saddam embracing a kid. I think you can see a fire the background from an oil well. Overcast day.

I've read that he may have died as far back as 1998.

Someone might tell that to Dan Rather, because he thinks he interviewed him in person a month or two ago.

Here is an AP photo of Saddam, dressed the same as in the video, with a gun waving crowd. I found it used as far back as March, 2002.

OK, I'm descending into vague rambling here which I normally don't do...

Wow . . . I did a double-take when I saw who this post was from . . . and re-read it carefully . . . potentially good theory too . . .

Exactly. On Fox they are speculating whether our folks can stand the 100 degree plus heat, particularly if they have to wear chem suits, and in this film clip there are men wearing sweaters and leather jackets. Why isn't the Lamestream picking up on this, or even the cable guys?

Scary thing is that the White House seems to indicate that this was Saddam and was taped recently. I don't think Centcom and the Pentagon is buying into it as much though.

I think it's safe to assume that we laypeople don't know just what all we do have in the way of recon capability. And as fascinating as I find all of that stuff and as much as I'd love to be able to know all the nitty gritty, tis understandable that we don't know.

Not to mention the fact that in one segment there is a tree behind "Saddam", not a palm, which is sans leaves. The leaves are coming out here for crying out loud, in Southern Ohio. And have you noticed that in the older, "official" videos of him, he never needs a haircut, but this guy does? Even he could get a barber in a bunker.

I have looked at the footage
over and over again
about 20 times.

There is no way that it is Saddam.

That's the same guy
who appeared on TV
reading from the notepad
the first night.

What's really weird to me is that after the 1991 war, Saddam paraded through the streets (hmmm? much the same way), because we had left and he was still in power.

Interesting!

I just can't believe that's Saddam ... of course he sends his doubles out a lot too (before the campaign) ... the Uday-double said the Saddam (that looked real) swimming in the Tigris was definitely not Saddam (video from several years ago) because the real Saddam has 2 tattoos on his left shoulder ...

The only streets that Saddam would be walking these days are not walked on at all-picture instead, a sun bather walking barefoot across a beach in the year 2010, after the worst fantacy (hopes) of the global warming morons has materialized. Multiply that heat by a zillion times as is the mean temperature in Saddams new home town, , and it is obvious that if Saddam ventures out, it's not for a walk- It's more like hop, ouch! hop, ouch!, hop, ouch!

Saddam will never meet his maker, where he has gone-nor few he has called the Great Satans-only his daddy, the real satan.

IT IS AN OLD TAPE

The so called bombed out area Saddam is looking at in the video is on a street corner which has sand bags and a make shift roof on top of it (pallets?) with camo cloth on it (or whatever it is called), there is also one of those molded lawn chairs sitting under it. It looks like a temporary shelter for street corner guard. (probably old stuff from 1991)

Some of the civilians are wearing jackets and the Iraqis claim it was recorded on 4/2/03 or 4/3/03, the temp was too warm on these 2 days to be wearing jackets.(again probably old footage from 1991 during the very early first quarter of 1991)

Plus, the guys are all wearing heavy winter coats...it's in the high 90's there now, they wouldn't be wearing heavy winter coats.
