Look, how would you like it if the Christian demanded the Jewish participants refrain from using the label Messiah? Ilbay, if we're going to respect other people's regligous views, they need to respect ours. This is a complete denial of the Christian faith. We pray to Jesus. They pray to the Messiah. I don't see a problem with that.

This was NOT the time or place to try to make a statement of this kind. I don't believe you respect another religion by highlighting differences.

If these Jewish people had come to this ministers Church as his guest, and heard him pray in the name of Jesus Christ, and then chose to be offended, I'd agree they were off-base.

But that's not where they were.

We pray to Jesus. They pray to the Messiah.

It was my understanding, Jews pray to God, not the messiah. They await the messiah, and do not equate messiah to God, as Christians do.

Calling all Jews...do i have this wrong?

They don't pray to the Messiah, they pray to God Himself, "Our Father, Our King." It is the same God. Frankly all this fuss is foolish, while the world is the way it is.
