Another blast about 700 yards west of the Information Ministry, possibly from a missile, sent scores of journalists fleeing. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
Oh, how I wish I had a television set, just to see that...did they get Arnett?

"They are targeting the human beings in Iraq to decrease their morale," Iraqi Health Minister Omeed Medhat Mubarak said If the Iraqis care so much about their civilians, why don't they let them down into those tunnels and bunkers where the Boss is hiding?

They need to put them out in front of their troops to build morale. The troops morale that is.

"Iraq is about to get an enema."
I'll wager a number of U.S. soldiers have suggestions as to where the tube should be inserted.

>>The Iraqi Information Minister (I hate this guy!) is speaking live now. Saying they "downed 196 missles"<<
Oh, that's OK.
We have 260 million people and an annual GNP bigger than the gross product of the Islamic world from the birth of Mohammed until last week.
We'll make more.
A lot more.
More than you can imagine.

Buildings close to the Information Ministry appeared to have been hit, sending a huge plume of smoke skyward. I hope they hit that short, squatty building across from the Information Ministry. I'm TIRED OF LOOKING AT IT.

>>I heard a report on FOX earlier today by the reporter out of Amman, Jordan saying the Iraqi ambassador ( I think) was saying the US was keeping their export truck of needed supplies to Jordan from getting through<<
Yes, the road from Baghdad to Jordan is closed. We eliminated the only gas station on that road on D+1.
And there is zero-zero-refugee traffic over that road since D+1.
Where-repeat where-is MEU 2? The world wonders.

I watched a little of Fox when this wave was starting. It looked like some parts really got hammered. So you like architecturial changes courtesy of the USAF.

The same sort of boasting and the same sort of painting pictures with words that have little to do with reality but everything to do with myth making. In part it seems they're trapped by their language. I've been told that Arabic is a very expressive, emotive language. This can lead to a focus on the expression instead of the thing expressed.

They have to save face. The king of Jordan said that during the 1967 war, Nassar lied to him repeatedly even though this brought the king's forces into harm's way. Even to an Arab ally--especially to an Arab ally--he could not admit that his air force had been taken out.

I just heard a Col ?? on FOX that was asked why the Iraqi tank column took the risk of leaving Bagdad or repositioning. I thought his reply was interesting:
"(parapharasing) Because they are getting killed where they are. We are accurate enough, and are flexible enough with weapon loads, to take out tanks parked in the vicinity of civilian targets without causing collateral damange. They have been sitting there and dying from smart bombs and fuel air bombs that can suck the oxygen out of a football field size plot of land....they had to try something else!
Poor dumb bastards....and the press weenies think the Iraq is winning...HA.

I had a little go-round with little miss gabby hayes myself last night. You probably have it called right.

Almost the enitre populace from Rabat to Rangoon lies coming out of the womb. Hence they think the whole world lies. Noone over there has one iota what the truth really is due the lies swirling around them. The natural result is they end up believing what they want to believe, and pick up the tidbits that support that, as the only ones they can trust are themselves.
