B-52s leave UK
March 22, 2003 07:57
B-52 bombers have begun taking off from RAF Fairford.
Earlier today, a Greenpeace hot air balloon today dropped 500 anti-war leaflets over the base where 14 B-52 bombers were on stand-by. Greenpeace said they contacted the base, police and the Civil Aviation Authority in advance to ensure there was no risk. The leaflets highlighted the risk to the Iraqi civilians and US arms sales to Iraq.

The terrorists of the world give these Clymers in the balloon a heartfelt thanks for testing security for them. They don't have to risk losing resources to do it.

Gotta love when protestors have all the facts. I guess the US sold them Russian made MiG fighters, Russian made tanks, AAA, and machine guns, and French made F-1 fighters.

I guess the US sold them Russian made MiG fighters, Russian made tanks, AAA, and machine guns, and French made F-1 fighters They've repeated the "U.S. armed Iraq" lie so many times that they actually believe it themselves. I've even heard one leftist insist that we "specially manufactured" T-62 tanks just to sell to the Iraqis once it was pointed out to him that the Iraqis didn't use any American weapon systems.

Later, the 150,000 lb payload of the B-52's highlighted the risk to the Iraqi regime if they didn't surrender at once.

One used hot air balloon. £1,000

OPINION: WELL, ISN'T THAT WARM AND FUZZY??!!! WHAT IF THOSE GREEN PEACERS (OR ANY OTHER GROUP FOR THAT MATTER) DROPPED A HAZARDOUS MATERIAL IN LITTLE BALLOONS TO GO WITH THOSE FLYERS? No one, and I mean no one should be flying hot air balloons, remote-controlled planes, drones, kites or anything over the bases where our troops and equipment are based. We don't need the distraction or propaganda. I find this article just incredible and disturbing.

Greenpeace, eh? The Green Nazis wanted to highlight the risk to the Iraqi civilians?
If I remember correctly Greenpeace, no question a Leftist organization, (and we all know Leftists are the champions of people of "color", right?) is the bunch in bed with African dictators, asking grain be kept from starving people.

People who believe without knowing, don't want to know about their beliefs.
Amazing, appalling, nauseating.
