The Kurds will kill them and kill them and kill them. No one hates the Turks as much as the Kurds. And the Kurds will see this as permission to take them on and take them out. This will spawn Kurdish violence in Turkey, and I am sure there are Greek and Armenian spies more than happy to stir the pot in Turkey any way they can.
Turkey stands to lose entrance into the EU, relationship with the US, and they will come out the final loser in Cyprus.

The Greeks, Serbs, Armenians, Russians, Iranians and Arabs are just waiting for a chance to bleed Turkey white in the hills of Kurdistan through good use of the Kurds-not that the Kurds need any help in killing Turks of course.
Long Live a Free Kurdistan!

Well, the Turks appear to be doing okay in spite of being killed and killed and killed all the time. And EU membership doesn't sound like such a bargain anyway.

The Kurds will kill them and kill them and kill them Good. To hell with the backstabbing bastards. They could have had $30 billion and the run of Northern Iraq. Now we see why they kept out troops out.
If these Turks are planning on any land grabs or Kurd-massacres I hope they witnessed the MOAB test in Florida. As pissed off as Bush is at Turkey he might not hesitate to use one (or three).

Boy, that post 5 of yours sums it up for me. Thanks for posting.
Turkey has no idea what it just purchased. Sigh, the possible end of its nascent democracy as its military takes it in a direction its civilian leadership may well have not wanted to go in.

"they will come out the final loser in Cyprus."
Yep. This will hurt their economy for years. Somebody better teach them how to play poker.
