And your sources for all these answers? Especially the one where you pull a Woodward and tell us what George Bush is thinking, especially when you admit you've never been invited to the White House.

They turned to the hot topic of anthrax. The powder in the letter mailed to Senator Daschle's office had been found to be potent, prompting officials to suggest its source was likely an expert capable of producing the bacteria in large amounts. Tenet said, "I think it's AQ" meaning al Qaeda. "I think there's a state sponsor involved. It's too well thought out, the powder's too well refined. It might be Iraq, it might be Russia, it might be a renegade scientist," perhaps from Iraq or Russia. Scooter Libby, Cheney's chief of staff, said he also thought the anthrax attacks were state sponsored. "We've got to be careful on what we say." It was important not to lay it on anyone now. "If we say it's al Qaeda, a state sponsor may feel safe and then hit us thinking they will have a bye because we'll blame it on al Qaeda." "I'm not going to talk about a state sponsor," Tenet assured them. "It's good that we don't," said Cheney, "because we're not ready to do anything about it." It is protection for Saddam to have biological and chemical weapons, because, in the final analysis, if pressed, if he is surrounded in Baghdad, he will threaten to use them. He's capable of that. This is a sort of Samson complex if you push me too hard, I'll bring the house down, on myself and on everyone else. Washington realizes that this is a possibility. For obvious reasons, it's not talked about openly. No one in Washington wants to tell the American people that Saddam is still capable of blackmailing us. They're acting as if he is capable of blackmailing them, but they are not going to admit it openly. Saïd K. Aburish, January 2000 |

The U.N. Security Council met his first deadline by passing Resolution 1441 in 57 days, but the world body has dragged its feet over the following 125 days, with Mr. Bush accepting repeated extensions and modifications to a second resolution he says he doesn't even need.
Also Congress gave Bush the power to go to war with Iraq several months ago.
This whole fiasco is reminiscing of those end-of-the-world movements in the US, that keep moving up the date for the Christ's return and Armageddon.
The president can learn a few things from the Millerite movement in the 19th century and the Jehovahs Witnesses in the 20th century.
After moving up the dates several times, eventually these people decided that Christ had returned invisibly.
I guess President Bush can tell us that Iraq was invaded invisibly, and all the weapons of mass destruction were destroyed

Also Congress gave Bush the power to go to war with Iraq several months ago. And did we have sufficient troops in place then? No.
I guess President Bush can tell us that Iraq was invaded invisibly, and all the weapons of mass destruction were destroyed
Apparently, you wanted Bush to invade Iraq with all those invisible troops he had there when Congress authorized action.

From the time Congress authorized war to the end of February, how long did the President have to gather all the troops and logistics?
The end of February is considered the end of the optimal time to conduct a war, especially wearing space suits.

Yeah, that Bob Woodward, what does he know? Freeper "dirtboy" is so much better informed! Do you realize how ridiculous you look? You mean the same Bob Woodward who managed to get a hospital bed tell-all interview with William Casey? Who happened to be in a coma at the time?
Woodward discredited himself long ago. Too bad you decided to follow him over the same cliff...
