This is not the Democratic Underground, FYI. Your disinformation would be more appreciated over there.

This war effort is more concentrated on military assets, not on civilian populations, than any war this nation has fought since the Mexican War. The thanks for this may be given to advances in munitions, as well as our desire to win the hearts and minds of the Iraqis, who have been under the thumb of the tyrant Sadaam Hussein for decades.

Given your concern about the elderly, children, and babies, you should support our efforts to end the rule of this dictator. How many of these helpless people died when Sadaam gassed and bombed his internal political opponents among the Kurds and the Shi'ites? How many Iraqi babies died because Sadaam refused to cooperate with disarmament plans after Desert Storm, preferring instead to smuggle oil outside Iraq so that he could rebuild his military regime?

The first duty of the United States government, indeed any government, is to protect its citizens from their enemies, domestic and foreign. Have you forgotten the 3,000 innocent people who died on September 11, 2001, courtesy of Al-Qaeda, a terrorist organization supported by Iraq, among other nations? The blood of these people, and of the several hundred New York firemen and policemen who died to save the lives of many thousands of office workers at the World Trade Center, calls for vengance and justice.

Allison Krauss and Union Station put Natalie no name to shame. Actually, Natalie is what we always knew. We too liked her music but no more. She is gone and the cd's have been sent back to Sony. Our tickets to their upcoming concert in Dallas are now shreaded. We will never listen to them again. Not only this statement but her statement about Toby Keith being a red neck and then her stupid statements seem to continue to proove she is a little twit who has earned way too much of our hard earned money and to slap us in the face. Heck we have lots of choices. Charlie Daniels is another one.

her statement about Toby Keith being a red neck

Toby Keith is a real talent - songwriter extraordinaire, musician, singer, and a tremendous live performer. He is a performer - and a PATRIOT!

If his neck is red, it's Red, White and Blue!

Why does anyone even pay to hear Natalie Maines??? She is ignorant, fat, ugly, and her voice is irritating. She also doesn't know jack-s*** about issues or reality. Below is an excerpt from a Dixie Chicks fan website... See if you think she's smart:

"But the question that is on all of our minds is, why "Fly"? Natalie Maines, the lead vocalist of the group quotes, "We're chicks, chicks have wings. Chicks learn to fly." Fly is the follow-up album to their previous album "Wide Open Spaces" with over one million copies sold..."

Um, didn't anyone tell poor Natalie that chickens are flightless birds? What a moron. So now she's got the political chops to tell Bush off? Seems he would know a little more about Iraq and Saddam than a so-called "artist" who didn't know that chickens can't fly.

Natalie probably has never been in a chicken house. She probably has never seen a chicken with even the smallest wound get pecked to death by the others. She probably doesn't know that when chickens try to fly, they crash - kinda like she has!
