I could not disagree more. We did just what you are suggesting during Vietnam and the warriors that returned home were spit upon and shunned. No, this time we cannot allow that to happen. Well, I was really talking about the so-called human shields, who are really nothing more than human trash and leading candidates for Darwin Awards. My point in saying tha we should "ignore them" is that if they want to position themselves under a Daisy Cutter, that's perfectly ok by me...

As for the more garden variety proteters, I couldn't disagree with you more. People are entitled to their opinions, and I'd hate to see freedom loving conservatives start endorsing government censorship of protests. Remember the Law of Unintended Consequences...how will we feel when anti-abortion protestors, for instance, are termed "terrorists" and imprisoned by some future Democrat attorney general?

That's not how I remember it. There was tear gas, water hoses, Kent State, etc. It just re-energized them and created martyrs. Hurt them by ignoring them.
