John Walker Lindh, who is serving a 20-year sentence for helping the Taliban, may have been attacked by one or more white supremacists at a federal prison in this desert community northeast of Los Angeles, it was reported Thursday.

It appears that, based on what info the AP actually has, he could also have been attacked by prison guards, coyotes, or little girls with feathers. But I guess white supremacists is the only one that really fits their agenda.

Are we supposed to not notice the "may have"? Is that the AP's disclaimer to this lie?
