Where do you get that, please? Savage says he is the child of Russian immigrants and Savage is the family name. Not that unusual... think Jessica Savitch. What is the source of your statement?

Savage is not his real last name. His son is Russel Weiner, who ran for congress in California.

I listen occasionally and agree with his viewpoints by and large, but his hard hitting, passionate style is not the one I prefer. I like the comic relief offered by Rush and Drudge better. Even Hannity gets too serious and hard-edged for me at times.

I don't know if Savage can survive national TV honestly... used to listen to him out in Bay... he's is definately a free thinker, not just another RNC memo parrot, which I liked, but some of his conclusions were almost mother ship Farrakahnish.... so we'll see how it goes. Personally I think MSNBC is going to have a hard sell with Savage on TV... of course, anything has to be better than Donahue.
