SF guys die often enough and it is not reported. Black ops units are easy to cover for, its when the main combat units start suffering casualties that things are hard to cover up. SF guys, like a fraternity brother of mine, die from "training accidents". He was a Navy Seal who fell out of a high story window during training in Central America. Funny, the family hired PI found out that his heli was shot down over the Nicaraguan border....end of story.

Such a shame. Their families must be told that they died fighting for their country. It is a shame that a SF operative's heroism is written off as a minor training accident.
