I don't think Hoover is an adequate analogy. Hoover got a bad rap because he happened to be prez during the depression. But it had already started when he came to office.

Those of us who voted for Dubya are incensed, not at his economic policies, but because he is prostituting America to immigrants; because he lied about Islam being a religion of peace; and because his administration has implicitly embraced the homosexual community.

I was not meaning by analogy. It is the same corporate dynasty. It is old money and old influences that work behind the scenes. The Red Diamond corporation and its ilk.

Hoover was a business man who made money off of natural resources before being elected for office. They have just passed down the power since him in the Republican party. Ike warned about them in his Military-Industrial Complex message. Ike did not play along with them. Ronny did. . Daddy did, though he screwed up on rasing taxes, bringing him down in the power structure support scheme. W is, and will.
