Another thought occurs...The reason Americans regret the internment of the Japanese is not so much because it was racist, because we would surely feel as bad about interning multitudes of loyal German- and Italian-Americans. It's because these people were just as loyal as any other American and we screwed them; the fact that they were Asian is just icing on the BS cake. Sami says it's all about politics. Well, even if it were, we would be arresting a man who has made statements supporting jihad in a time of war against the forces of jihad, and who has given his direct support to a politician who has accused the President (during a state of declared war!) of allowing jihadist forces to kill 3,000 civilians and damage an important military installation. Even if he weren't an actual terrorist (and he is) this arrest would be justified, and Cynthia McKinney should be sharing a cell with this bag of pus.
The ACLU has had the gall to compare the detainment and deportation of terrorist sympathizers with the internment of the Japanese-Americans and to call their campaign against it "Disappeared in America." Well, it was the people on Flight 93 who "disappeared in America" without leaving recognizable remains to bury, and we will not quit fighting with the spirit of Todd Beamer and his little band of Minutemen until the day every terrorist is dead or behind bars.
