To: Free Trapper
I can't remember off the top of my head what chemicals are used but something can be used in molotov cocktails that will cause them to ignite upon the bottle breaking and exposure to air without resorting to a lit wick.

I do remember. No I'm not posting it. No boric acid in that recipe, though...

Yeah,I know what you mean.

I still can't remember offhand and it would only take a minute to look it up but some info is best not broadcast too widely.

I'm going to wait at least till Monday to peak in a book,just to see if it pops back into my mind so I won't feel quite so slow if I can recall without help.:0)

IIRC the people of Paris had pharmacists making the wickless cocktails for them when they fought the Germans in the streets.

Gee whiz, folks. Didn't you people take general chem in high school and college? PHOSPHORUS. There are two varieties: white and red. The white kind is the one which ignites on contact with air. This is not top secret info, it's first-level high school chemistry.
