All of those bumper stickers are mis-printed.

They should say: Diversify Celebrity

I love to know the educational backgrounds of these self-proclaimed important people. Generally, experts' comments are preceeded by a short list of accomplishments. I can hear it now: Julia Roberts, an eighth grade graduate, bashes President Bush's war strategies....

The simple truth is that people are not going to stop seeing movies to "get at" celebrities. If they want a boycott that will work, try asking peopel to boycott the first two weeks of a movie's release. This is when the lion's share of the profits are sent back to Hollywood and the local movie theater only gets to keep a small percentage of the take. After about two weeks, the percentages start to shift in the local theater's favor. The benefits of this approach over a full boycott? People get to see the movies that they want to see. You don't hurt local businesses. Indeed, they get more money out of the deal. Less money goes to the studios and actors who might be getting a cut. This seems like a win (movie watchers), win (local theaters), win (less money to Hollywood) approach to me that has a much better chance of succeeding than a full boycott.

I haven't declared a boycott, but any movie requires the "suspension of disbelief", which means I have to believe the actor's portrayal. With an increasing number of actors, I simply can't do it. As a consequence, I cannot bear to see any movie with the actors listed.

I am beginning to have a similar problem with musicians. A long list of musicians lined up to kiss up to the Clintons, and I could no longer listen to them. An even longer list have gone out of their way to badmouth America since 9/11, and Bush, and to speak up for Saddam, and I simply can't listen to them anymore.

As I say, it isn't a boycott, I simply can't bear to see them or listen to them anymore. My taste in music as always tended toward the out-of-the-mainstream, and as more and more mainstream artists take themselves off my list, my taste more and more tends toward musicians who haven't yet been interviewed by anyone. Among mainstream artists, only country musicians have managed to keep their mouths shut and resist badmouthing the country; I suspect some of them actually like America, and it seems that I am starting to listen to more country music than was previously my habit.

Now we just need a list of those celebrities who are supportive of the country and the President, as well as our troops. I've got at least a few names to start with...

Bo Derek
Patricia Heaton
Pat Sajak
Ron Silver
Arnold Swartzernegger
Bruce Willis
Dennis Miller
Dennis Hopper
LL Cool J

Excuse the alphabetization; hopefully this list will continue to grow.

-Regards, T.

Great Find, a national treasure!

It is so rotteningly amusing to me to hear and see all of these hyper-elitist liberals, who are grosslsy over-paid, overly indulged, extremely way out there in never never land, script readers and screen play memorizers telling my President, he doesn't have a clue.

Like, where were they when the great Liberal Icon, the Impeached One who kept losing his cigars in some, well, you know what I mean, tossed down bombs like his cigar wrappers and his zipper whenever he got the urge?
