I would like to complement you and stand by you on your decision to drop the insideous 'sexual orientation' language from your harassment and discrimination policies. The language in question cheapens and dilutes the gravity of the harassment and discrimination policies. Alot of people fought hard to get the policy instituted for harassment and discrimination on the basis of color and sex.
To have this policy carelessly applied mocks the achievments and progress of the civil rights era. You have my support, and I ask you to stand fast in support of the fortification of your Harassment Policies.
Try That...
Too repetitive. How about:
Dear Mr. Dunham:
Thank you so much for removing "sexual orientation" from the Concoco/Phillips harassment and discrimination policy.
For too long, members of a minority have been bullying the majority into doing things that do not fit in with that majority's mores. That is something that flat should not be allowed, and your decision not only reflects both the thoughts and feelings of most Americans, but it is certainly a step in the right direction.
For that, I commend you, and once again, thank you.
Yours Truly, etc.
so are you saying that people *should* be harassed and discriminated against soley because they may be homosexual?
