Usama bin Laden says he "is in partnership with Iraq"

Well, I guess that confirms that the tape was made in Langley, Virginia.

Boy, the Iraqis can't catch a break(g).

Thank you, Osama. You just gave us the blank check, signed by yourself, that we need to blow Iraq to kingdom come.

Talk about someone failing Strategery, 101.....

What we all fail to see is the Moslem vs the Infidel connection. In our lifetime, Islam will try to take over the world, and either force us to become Moslems, or die.

What we 'infidels' should be going is preparing for the Crusades.

You beat me to it, CJ.

If this were the Clinton administration, a lot of us would have thought the tape was a domestic product....maybe with Paul Begala doing the voice of Osama.

Of course, nowadays it couldn't happen. Could it?

Powell noted that while "much is being said about disagreement in NATO," that 16 members -- including the United States and Turkey -- back the U.S. position, while three -- France, Germany and Russia -- oppose it.

Although it's possible he misspoke, I'm thinking our Sec. of State knows that Russia is not a NATO country. Should have read "France, Germany and Belgium."

You have an overactive imagination and you don’t really understand the difficulties that I said make it an impossibility for someone to create such a tape.

Um...

Huh?

I'm not so sure that I can believe this. It makes me question the other audiotapes.

"At a separate hearing, CIA Director George Tenet said that he, too, was aware of a new communication from bin Laden, but told the Senate Intelligence Committee he had not been briefed on its contents. "I don't know what the contents will be," Tenet told the panel."

Does the intelligence pipeline bypass the CIA Director? Wow!

Just because Bin Laden supports Saddam doesn't mean they are in cahoots.

Exactly. If the case against Iraq is strong, why does Powell need to resort to such blatant propaganda?

No, it confirms that he timed the tape to coincide with the end of the muslim hajj.

You are so sure? Well, I’m not going to sit here and try to reassure you all because all it took was one person to cast doubts in your minds and its pretty clear you all are being led around the nose.

Read, “Powell said he read a transcript of "what bin Laden — or who we believe to be bin Laden" will be saying on the Al-Jazeera Arab satellite station later Tuesday, "where once again he speaks to the people of Iraq and talks about their struggle and how he is in partnership with Iraq.

What she did was focus on Bin Laden saying he was in a partnership with Iraq has to leave out who his audience was while people assumed he was talking to some Iraqi official, which might not have made sense to some people. It makes sense to me because we are going to war with Iraq, I believe the partnership has always been apparent, and his reaffirming support to Iraq given they are sponsoring him would make perfect sense.

Where will the people who said you can't find a link to terrorism and Iraq go now for their argument?

Can't say that Osama's dead--that ruins another argument about where is the priority need of the war on terrorists.

Here's what we know about this terrorist presence already – before the details are provided by Powell:

Iraq has supported al-Qaida for more than a decade;

al-Qaida has operatives in Iraq today;

Iraq has assisted al-Qaida with the purchase of chemical, biological and nuclear weapons;

Iraq has never stopped its covert attempts to develop weapons of mass destruction;

Iraq itself has been implicated in terrorist attacks on the U.S.

The question is why are you turning towards such blatant denials. Oh yeah, terrorists leaders in part telling the Iraqi people that they are in cohoots with their government given Iraq knew about 9/11 long before it took place and provided training and so forth must of course mean nothing and surely doesn’t warrant us going to war.
