These people are almost funny, in a black comedy sort of way.Whaddayuh mean almost? I laughed all the way through the article!
But it is the darkest kind of comedy. Those few who arrive in Iraq will be forcibly put wherever Saddam wants them. And that will almost certainly be wherever he thinks we will attack next. I'll be very surprised if any of these fools survive.
I'll nominate the ones who don't survive for Darwin awards.

People give the v-sign as they board a double-decker bus with the words - 500,000 dead Iraqi children 'worth it' which refers to a statement by Madeline Albright regarding sanctions against Iraq - which is travelling to Iraq where they are determined to act as human shields in downtown Milan, Italy, Friday, Jan. 31, 2003. Some 100 volounteers are travelling overland via various European cities to Baghdad, where they are expected to arrive onFeb. 7. Members of the Truth Justice Peace Human Shield Action Group are protesting against a possible war with Iraq. (AP Photo/Luca Bruno) |

Geez! (We just had lentils for supper, but we cooked them in the kitchen.) I needed the laugh.
Thanks for posting this. It is amazing what happens when the rose-colored glasses fall off and reality sets in.

"One long party". That is the mentality that we are dealing with here. They think is is just "one long party".

After all of this, they'll get to Iraq and have it worse there, then would you love to see them scared to death when the war starts and the people are rejoicing as they are liberated!

Hmmmm, at least one guy seems to think that "V" doesn't stand for 'victory'...

I thought the journey would be one long partyYes, you've spent your entire life in the UK (or the US, or Australia, or Canada) imagining that the entire world is just the same as your cushy capitalist-supported bubble.
Welcome to the rest of the world.

Just don't expect Spike Lee to direct.
