I never was that impressed with Heston as an actor either, and then I saw him in Treasure Island. I remember being so impressed with his performance - I highly recommend that version of the movie - it had Irish music for a soundtrack, Christoper Lee as Blind Pew, Oliver Reed as Capt Bones and Heston played Long John. I never liked any of the other versions after seeing that one.
