I live in Hollywood, CA and, just the other day, on the way up my street (walking) I came within five feet of a coyote.
We have a VERY serious coyote problem here, and it's pretty clear where all those 'missing' pets are going (signs up everywhere).
Too bad nobody is going to do anything about it.
I live on the edge of a nature preserve. One early morning about 2:00am, I was awakened by what sounded like cats fighting. I jumped out of bed and bolted to my bedroom window to see what was up. I looked out and saw a coyote right in front of my window with a neighbor’s black cat in its mouth flinging it back and forth. Blood and black hair was allover the coyote’s face. I opened the window and started yelling at it. It ran away, but it was too late for the cat.
You know, it’s one thing to see these kind of things on the nature channel, but when happens at 2:00 in the morning and right in front of your bedroom window, it is a little disturbing.
