Apparently not. One ABC radio news, which I had on, listening to a rerun of Armstrong & Getty out of Sacramento, they dragged it on before saying what happened. But Control was telling them that they were looking so good they didn't even need to trim the craft.
So, I had ABC TV on down here at the office (no cable), and just turned to the Fox affiliate - thank God they are running FNC, Shep and Tony. We need Brit.
I have a horrible feeling about this. I think it's EXTREMELY premature for the WH to say "Nope, no terrorism here" - the debris is stil falling - HOW CAN THEY TELL?!!! Probably want the mythical yahoos to not run around, shooting people or something. Just insane.

For this to be terrorism, our enemy would have to have a lot more sophisticated technology than box cutters. They'd have to have the ability to put a "bullet" 250K high, in which case we'd have to see them coming.

They're not saying that there was definitely no terrorism involved, just that there is no indication of it at this time. That's what they always say, unless it's obvious that there was terrorism involved.

That is my feeling also.
How do they know that terrorism is not involved before any data is in?

If you listen very carefully what they are saying about terrorism is that its not possible to externally from the ground or from outer space to bring the shuttle down. They did not ever say that externally on the shuttle it was not terrorism.
I don't want to be out of line here, but I think they are covering themselves about the external chances but have not said anything about internally.
I also think that it is significant that the President has returned to DC via motorcade and not by helicopter... it is bad weather in DC, but I understand, not bad enough to hinder air travel.
