Thank you Mr. president.

...So Iraq has abused its final chance. I wish I got as many final chances as Buttboy Saddam gets.

Great catch!

I like the reference to "last chance". It certainly puts the Dems in their place doesn't it! LOL, their own guy said it was Hussein's last chance over four years ago.
As for the rest...
Hisssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss. What an empty suit.

Well I'll be gol-darned. There isn't a single reference to that woman, not one time, not never in that speech. Lucky for ol' Billy that Saddam just decided to become a danger right then--and just before Ramadan, too.

Clinton's bombing of Iraq was the day of the impeachment vote -- deliberately timed to delay the proceedings.
Does anyoneone know where I can find an article in which the Dems express their outrage that the impeachment vote was going on while our troops were going into harm's way?
I remember quite a lot of Dem squealing about that.

I'm so grateful that it has been so long since I've had to listen to a Clinton speech, however upon reading it there is a striking contrast between a Bush speech and this one. Clinton is obsessed with the word "I" whereas Bush tends to use the royal "we"s and "our"s. The significance could be argued several ways, I guess, but it struck me nonetheless.

Hard to believe that Clinton could have said after this that the bombing had cleansed Iraq of all WMD's, as I understand Iraqi ambassador to the UN said on Tuesday.

Where's the photos of Susan Sarandon protesting? Or Babs' big-ass, red nose out of joint? Or Sean Penn serving as our Juvenile Ambassador? Or all the other Hollyweird punks who "abhor" war?
Surely they protested then, right? They're people of moral principles. They...Jesus, sorry I got carried away.
Thanks for the post. You're right. Archives are our friend.
