"So much for the country preacher from Plains Georgia."

I hope you don't mean this, even in jest.

Jimmuh Cartuh was a big goober pea farmer.

"KGB documents prove how America's worst president betrayed his country"

In my book, he is the runner up to the "America's worst president" title.

"America's worst president"

No. Not quite. America's most dangerous, perhaps.

A fool is more dangerous than a scoundrel.

The Democrat Party is the party of both.

It's highly unlikely that Carter could have done anything to prevent the downfall of the Shah. In fact, a pretty good case can be made that much of the anti-Americanism that arose during the shah's deposing can be traced back to Eisenhower's forcing Mossadeek [spelling?] when Ike was in office.

There's enough other stuff that you can nail Carter and his Georgia mafia on that you don't have to use Iran.

Just got the issue. Lengthy article. Covers the Soviet influence, N. Korea, Nicaragua, the Middle East and, of course, Fidel.
Among the nuggets:
"In 1984, Carter visited the residence of Soviet Ambassador Anatolyy Dobrynin in Washington, D.C., to warn Soviet officials against Ronald Reagan's re-election."

Pretty juicy stuff.

Hey now! No one mentioned the Panama Canal give-away. Who are those little Mao-suited guys running that now?
I don't think enough ropes could be found if the problems were ever addressed.

This Day in History

"July 14, 1980.....President Carter's brother Billy acknowledges he received money and gifts to act as Libyan agent, is forced to register as foreign agent to avoid Justice Dept. penalty."

As if the beer wasn't bad enough.

Also: July 2, 1980: "Carter campaign asks Federal Election Commission to deny federal funds to Ronald Reagan because private committees raising funds for him are allegedly not independent."
