>>Nevertheless, the Republican Party elites in Washington continue to turn a blind eye.

But what's the answer? There are a gazillion miles of border. Has anyone come up with a cost effective, workable solution?

We are spending $300,000.00 per border outpost (dozens of them) between Trashcanistan and Pakistan right at this moment.

We have the money. George has no balls.

Why not purchase a few dozen Predators with IR sensors and deploy them, along with support crews along our northern and southern borders. It would provide excellent training for these crews as well as being cost effective method of tracking and apprehending illegals.

It's a start. It's much better than doing nothing.

there is no such solution as you state it. the borders are a serious enough issue that the government needs to invest big now, in order to secure the future. all we'd have to do is bring some of our boys(and girls) home from some one elses border, and but it on our own, problem solved and it's already in the budget. let's see... the balkans have been quiet for a while, bring the rest of our troops from there and let the EU take care of their own problem, we need to solve ours.

Are you proposing congressional study in order to figure out how to enforce our borders before we do anything?

A good example of a workable solution is the one being demonstrated by Chris Simcox and his organization. First, he is actually doing something and second, the mere presence of his people is having an affect.

A few AC-130s would do the job, and you would only need to use them once maybe twice to get the message across.
