"I think it should be pointed out that Jackson-Lee is being used here to hide behind because she's black and a woman and she's being paid under the table for her statement(s)."

I agree. I am beginning to believe that the Democratic Party has been totally compromised by foreign governments. (Cash from China and they sound like Europeons)

Sheila Jackson Lee is so self-marginalized. She should be bannished to Baghdad on a fact-finding mission, where her tune would change rather quickly.

She is something else!

U.S. failure to ratify the U.N. Convention on the Rights of the Child. "The fact that the United States is the only country besides Somalia that has not ratified [the] child's rights [convention] is shocking,"

said Paula Daeppen, director in Zurich for the Federation of American

Women's Clubs Overseas.

"We're supposed to be a moral leader of the world and child friendly,"

she said.

Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee, Texas Democrat, told the meeting she applauded

the administration's work to protect children from pornography,

exploitation and "child soldiering."

But she said she disagreed with the U.S. delegation on some issues.

"There needs to be flexibility on life," she said — an apparent

reference to the administration's strong anti-abortion stance. A person

close to the congresswoman, who asked to remain anonymous, said her

remarks were intended to urge "more flexibility on family planning."

Abortion is not mentioned directly in the draft child-summit document,

but UNICEF, which organized the 187-country special session of the

General Assembly, and the U.N. Fund for Population Activities, interpret

the ambiguous phrase "reproductive health services" to include abortion.

On the first day of the 107th Congress, Jackson Lee introduced H.R. 62, a bill to forgo Veterans Day every four years so that Election Day could be made a national holiday. Theoretically, this would get more Americans out to the polls to vote. And because veterans are less important than politicians in the eyes of Mrs. Jackson Lee, she recommends that Veterans Day, which is celebrated on November 11th each year, be treated as a secondary holiday to be commemorated on Election Day of presidential election years.

I'll do a brief birdwalk on the thread.

I don't have a dog in the fight, seeing as how I'm a diehard Browns fan. However, Tampa Bay seems to be a team of destiny.

Remember, they were not supposed to win if the temperature was below 40. They did it, not once, but twice.

Finally, the Buccaneers have the better defense. Defense wins championships.

Now, back to Jackson-Lee. First, the anti-war Left used Jihad Cindy to carry their water. Since the voters of her district sent her packing, they needed another voice.

Jackson-Lee couldn't find Iraq on a world map. Yet they are using her because she is black and a woman. Any disagreement whatsoever with her means that you are a sexist bigot.

It's shameful, but hardly surprising.

From the very start, liberal blacks in Congress like Maxine Waters and Sheila Jackson-Lee pushed for Elian's return to Cuba. They charge there is a double standard between U.S. policy toward Cuba and Haiti. They seem to forget that our military invaded Haiti in 1994 to restore its first democratically-elected president to power. In Haiti, the poor economy is the main reason that Haitians still flee. In Cuba, the iron-fist rule of communist dictator Fidel Castro is the reason. Both Waters and Lee support Castro and have worked hard to put a end to the decades-old U.S. embargo against his rule.

Shelia Jackson Lee is not interested in national security. She only interested in perpetuating her own political aspirations as well as those in her own party.

But does Jackson-Lee actually want to do anything about North Korea? No, she's just trying to distract us, it's a very lame trick.

"I wish the people in Houston would get their act together and boot Ms. Sheila "Jesse" Jackson Lee from Congress. She is an embarrassment to Texas."

I spent enough years in Texas to wish the same.......and to agree with your final statement.

If Jackson Lee wasn't in Congree, she'd be scrubbing toilets in Houston.

Why don't you leave the "commie rat" quotations in the sewer where they belong. Come on, you can do better than that. You make us all look bad.

'neo-Stalinist'?

'treasonous pig'?

'running dog collectivist'?

'lickspittle handmaiden to the elitist ruling class'?

'kowtowing lap dog to the oppressor pig'?

'shuffling lackey race traitor'?

'tap dancing house slave to her corporate plantation masters’?

'jackbooted National Socialist'?

'monacled and hobnailed hate monger'?

'feminist Trotskyite'?

Interesting...

Of course, if she has not reported the outside income, she could be in violation of House Rules.

(My Super Bowl Call: Oakland 37, Tampa Bay 27. Oakland's offensive line is just too good, and Gannon's too mobile - can anyone cover a wide receiver for eight to ten seconds, particularly TWO future Hall-of-Fame WRs in Rice and Brown?)
