Anybody thinks these big auto makers care about patriotism or anything else but profits are smoking the wrong brand of weed.
The only thing they care about is your money
Ford-Chevy--etc etc would cowtow to Jackson just to get him off their back
So getting even with Chrysler might send them ALL a message but don't think anyone is any better than the other
I guarantee all these boobs would be just as likely to quit funding the Boy Scouts etc etc if the homos put pressue on them
They are like poliricians who have no beliefs other than $$$
Any action they take or don't take is the result of their perception on how it affects business NO MORE NO LESS
NONE of them are motivated by any strong personal character traits but profits
Thinking the EXECS atr Ford--Chevy-- etc are any different is a big mistake

Could you please share the e-mail address you used? They haven't favored me with a reply to my e-mail of a few days ago, yet.
(By the way, in what context would Mr. Fountain's comments not characterize individuals of a "certain political perspective"?)

My father-in-law's van has been in the shop 2-3 a year, and it's only three years old. My six year old Honda just goes in for oil changes.

Sending the email to Fountain won't do any good, he'll just delete it. Send it to his boss, and to all the Board of Directors.

"Add DaimlerChrysler cars/trucks/SUVs to the growing list of things I just won't ever consider in the future... Such as movies featuring George Clooney, Ed Harris, Robert Altman etc. etc. etc."
. . .'etc' and 'et al'. . .seems we are winning the elections; but in danger of losing the war nonetheless.
. . .seems every choice has it't own Battle and we participate every day with out decisions!

Can't find his e-mail address...
CCA Vice Chairman Frank Fountain (Left), Leroy Richie (Center), from DaimlerChrysler and former Secretary of Transportation Rodney Slater (Right).

"Christopher Morris, editor of the group's publication Patterns of Corporate Philanthropy , said that, based on his review of DaimlerChrysler's donations, there is not a bias toward liberal or conservative causes."
. . .that would be an interesting read. . .they probably classify the 'United Way' as apolitical./
. . .wonder how much they donated to the Boy Scouts of America this year. . .

Fountain's defence that his comments were not directed toward any individual or specific organization are all the more reason why he should apologize. If his comments were directed at an individual, they may very well be an accurate discription of that individual. However, since he says they weren't directed at any specific individual or organization, then they were directed at *all* conservatives. Therefore he insulted at least half of the population.

"I was referring to no specific organization or individual, so I don't feel that there is any apology in order," Fountain said Friday." Bottom line, you will Pal.

Sorry but I'm not smart enough to post a link. I went to:
http://www.daimlerchrysler.com/index_e.htm
and followed the links to Investor Relations.

Just heard about Ed Harris yesterday on Rush's show. Sucks - I had really enjoyed his rolls in THE ABYSS and APOLLO 13, too. Oh well, at least this explains why he was in such drivel as STEPMOM *LOL*

Thanks. I used that one, but still no response. I'll try again.
(I swear I didn't use any profanity.)

Just sent a comment using the link in post 54 and clicking on Feedback at the top of the page.
From memory:
"If Frank Fountain's insult to Conservatives was, as he says, not directed toward any specific individual or organization, then it was a general statement directed at *all* Conservatives. I'm sure your demographics will show that Conservatives account for more than half of your customer base.
What kind of company insults half of its customers and doesn't retract?
No longer a loyal customer until I hear some strong retraction.

Oh, I forgot. I also included that there is no defense and no excuse for Fountain's comment.
