Hullo, Freedom... actually, it was worse- I very foolishly decided to use AOL's "free" access while my ISP was down, and entered the "you've got PROBLEMS!" zone of AOL Hell.
Yes, I had to use the format c: /s cure to get rid of all the crap AOL put on my system... not even regedit could cure it...
