My point: money was channeled from abroad to support subversion in 1967, there is no reason to think it isn't being channeled now (from different sources perhaps, although Cuba may be the one constant.) Then, the FBI surely knew it and, characteristically enough, preferred to "watch it" without doing anything in hope of learning more. The "let's watch it" stance is all too common here, after all there are bigger fish to fry, there are diplomatic considerations, we are sending subversive money there too, so the powers that be may be considering it all a zero sum game.
