The deaths in 2002 of more than 100 undocumented Mexican immigrants in the Arizona desert prompted the five lawmakers to travel to Arizona to meet with government officials and human rights activists. I'm really not sure how obtaining an Arizona driver's license once an illegal is well within the state will reduce the death toll of illegals attempting to enter the country, but I've had a lot of trouble grasping the logic of the illegal immigration boosters as it is...

The delegation expressed concern about actions taken by civilian groups that patrol the border. Get lost, and quit telling American citizens what to do in their own country.

Up untl recently, the governor of Arizona USED to be a Steve Forbes Republican and the state of Arizona WAS solidly consevative. This all changed with the 2002 election results. All the "big winners" were liberal Democrats who pander to illegal aliens. Gee whiz, I wonder how they got elected < /sarcasm>
Arizonians better hope and pray this latest initiative doesn't pass, or the state will end up with Senator Raúl Grijalva in 2004. Illinois had a statewide GOP landslide in 1994 (all statewide offices and both houses of the legislature). In the aftermath of our RINO governor selling licenses to ILLEGAL aliens in 1998, a bunch of Chicago machine 'RATs now hold every office except state Tresurer (held by RINO Topinka). This is now Luis Guiterrez's (D-Chicago) turf. Be forewarned!

I wept when NapalitanoReno smugly and arrogantly announced her win. A sad day for us Arizonans. Thank goodness the Republicans still hold the legislature. I hope they keep a tight rein on that woman. Actually, I'm hoping for some horrible fiasco, like the alternative fuel thing a few years ago, to happen while she's in office so she can take the credit, er blame, and either get kicked out of office or be so utterly humiliated that re-election is impossible.

How is it that a politician like this dimbulb can flaunt the fact that she's thumbing her nose at federal law?

The governor of Arizona promised visiting Mexican lawmakers that she would sign legislation that would allow undocumented immigrants in that state to obtain driver's licenses. A promise she won't have to honor, since it will never reach her desk.

The governor of Arizona promised visiting Mexican lawmakers that she would sign legislation that would allow undocumented immigrants in that state to obtain driver's licenses. Why? Because with a license you can VOTE.

I can understand why she wants to give these legions of illegal aliens drivers licenses.
With the Motor Votor Law, they can register to vote and vote for her!
