Up untl recently, the governor of Arizona USED to be a Steve Forbes Republican and the state of Arizona WAS solidly consevative. This all changed with the 2002 election results. Arizonians better hope and pray this latest initiative doesn't pass, or the state will end up with Senator Raúl Grijalva in 2004. Illinois had a statewide GOP landslide in 1994 (all statewide offices and both houses of the legislature). I wept when NapalitanoReno smugly and arrogantly announced her win. A sad day for us Arizonans. Thank goodness the Republicans still hold the legislature. I hope they keep a tight rein on that woman. Actually, I'm hoping for some horrible fiasco, like the alternative fuel thing a few years ago, to happen while she's in office so she can take the credit, er blame, and either get kicked out of office or be so utterly humiliated that re-election is impossible.
