Title is actually "Tribes fail to halt study of ancient skeleton". But the real issue is that the crazy liberal - hyper-anti-God; anti-Gun, anti-War, anti-Smoking, anti-everything court will review the issue.

I just saw a PBS special on this topic. the reconstruction of Kennewick Man's skull reveals a Caucasian visage. Must be a huge threat to the tribes, as if judge sides with the scientists, other remains will be examined too.

Let's see, what's the most sane ruling that could be made here? Now invert that and you'll get what the 9th will ultimately come up with.

The sane thing would be to study the skeleton.
See if any DNA can be extracted, contrast it to existing tribes and people.
What will happen: will be turned over to be destroyed as heresy. (Or it's modern day equivalent.)

It seems since at LEAST as long ago as the Shrillery and Dilldo epidemic, everyone and every thing and their cats and dogs is addicted to power plays and power games.
I wonder what Kennewick man would say about all the nonsense.
I hope they can get some good DNA data out of him before some other idiot closes the door on research.
