A $1,000 a year may not seem like much money to a multi-millionaire anchor like Judy Woodruff but it is a substantial amount of money to that $40,000 to $50,000 middle class income family. Don't you get tired of rich liberals presuming that the government is better off with a measly $1,000 than you? For the critics its a drop in the ocean of federal revenues and still somehow it costs too much, an attitude which by the way, is never expressed towards domestic social programs.

Agreed. That extra $83 a month is much better in my pocket than in the government's coffers. Perhaps they've forgotten what it's like to live paycheck to paycheck or to have only $150 in the account after bills are paid.

It makes me want to vomit when I see how much gets taken out of our paychecks every pay period. I want my money back. Perhaps that's how the republicans should phrase it,"We want to give you your money back, the democrats want to keep your money."
