Equal consideration is in order.

Mr. Sebesta should direct his quill on some of the Democratic party's jewels that also embrace (overtly or covertly) the "neo-Confederate" stance he so despises: a current senator from W. Virginia and a former governor of AR.

Of course, doing so would pop his little bubble that Democrats are as pure as driven snow.

Selective outrage- why, who'd have thought it from the left?

Very interesting.

Blogs are much better suited to the Dems than web forums.
An environment controlled by celebrities and authorities is the one Dem ideas can thrive in.

INteresting:

The story IS news because the democrats PUSHED IT .... Using Carville (and others) to "sell it" until the national media (NY Times, in other words) decided to "run it."

Then, because it was "news" .... although many days old, the national kept repeating it BECAUSE Carville (and others) kept talking about it.

But, when Clinton raped Juanita, the media shelved the story, then hid it until AFTER the impeachment, then ignored it. To the point where the "great" helen can claim she DOESN'T EVEN KNOW THE STORY.

Same with many others: each time a clear, specific story question (that is unfavorable to the Clintons) is asked to a Donaldson, Brokaw, etc. during an interview, ... they claim never to have heard about it.

[When I had lunch with Sebesta a week ago at Gloria's in Oak Cliff, I was struck again by two things. Sebesta is hard to understand when he expresses his views. But he makes more sense and sounds more cogent the more effort I invest]

[Thomas B. Edsall of The Washington Post has written and co-authored some of the most influential stories on Trent Lott from 1998 until now. He told me that Sebesta has consistently been an important source during that entire span of time. "He has over the years provided me substantial material that has been very useful." Edsall said he began relying on Sebesta four years ago for stories on Lott's involvement with the Council of Conservative Citizens.]

the reason why Sebesta is hard to understand is that he is probably schizophrenic along the lines of the Unabomber-- thus, you have the Washington Post propagating paranoid delusional material and calling it brilliant.

When will someone expose Hillary Clinton? WHERE does Hitlary live? She is no New Yorker but yet she hold a NY
Senate seat and nobody will expose her and call for her
removal. Hitlary was exposed for her terrorist ties and election fraud yet she remains in office.

So why didn't Lott's advisor Dick Morris tell him that his words would be used against him? It seems reasonable that as an advisor to Mr. Lott, he could have warned him years ago that keeping company with certain people and voicing some specific words could hurt you. This has been my biggest problem with Mr. Lott, where he sought his advice.

"What Sebesta has gathered, he believes, is evidence of a serious movement among educated people who are racist advocates of secession and a second civil war."

Sebesta is a kook.

There's simply no other word for it.

Unless it's "lunatic"...

Sebesta was plumbing a different phenomenon--tenured professors, pundits, politicians and clergy who maintain a double public life, contained and civilized before the big audience but extremely radical, even seditious, in articles and lectures traded more or less behind the scenes in small journals and on Web pages.

Note the use of the word "seditious." Nice of them to slip that one in. Do you suppose this paper has EVER used the word "seditious" and a discussion of left wing radicals or radical Muslims in the same article?

Apparently lulled into carelessness by his warmly receptive audience, the senator from Mississippi had spoken to the big audience in the vocabulary of radical rejectionism, normally uttered only before carefully sheltered audiences of like-minded souls...Gee, for all his expertise, Mr. Sebesta seems to have missed the fact that Lott said virtually the same thing "Here's Strom Thurmond - he should have been elected President in 1947" in front of dozens of fellow congressmen, including Dennis Hastert, at a bill signing on the Capitol steps in 2000 - hardly a "carefully sheltered audience() of like-minded souls". Broadcast across the country for all to see over C-Span at the time, it remains a mystery as to why such disgusting utterances didn't result in a firestorm of outrage at the time and the removal of Lott from his ML position immediately, or at the very least his defeat for reelection to the post in the two cycles since then......

Does Mr. Sebesta have similar archives on Robert Byrd and Fritz Hollings? Hmmm . . . I don't think so.

It is interesting that none of the liberal media outlets will do a story on the Democrat's Progressive Caucus, who runs it and what it stands for. Talk about sedition!

As I recall the Democrats had initially planned to make Mr. EDole's NC residency an issue until it was pointed out to them their the NY senator was a former first lady of AR and an IL native. So the Dems dropped the opposition to Mrs. EDole's residency.

Every time I turn on the Idiot Box, there they are: Begala and Carville.

Why are these outrageous clintonistas still on my TV spewing their half-chewed bologna into my home? If there really were a vast right-wing conspiracy, these two clymers would have been euthanized long ago. They should be tarrred, feathered, and ridden out of DC on a rail... preferably a live third rail.
