It has happened - I heard it myself when he was still local at KSFO. I couldn't believe my ears - I think the interview only lasted about a minute or two. It was in 2000, I think, and if I can dig back in my memory that far, I'll come up with the name. I do remember it being after Standard Time started, because it was dark (and raining) here in the Bay Area as I was driving home, listening to it. Anybody?
I think he was foolish in his treatment of Barkley - as intellectually lazy as Sir Charles may be, he lost the argument by his lack of self-control. Anyway, if you're a nationwide talker, it's a good idea to at least be aware of other aspects of society.
I did notice, by the way, that although Barkley was outclassed in the argumentative details, he was bright enough to stay in character as just a tough, trash-talking jock. Without even knowing a whole lot, he made Savage look pretty bad to a lot of viewers--since Savage was reduced to his predictable "I'm smarter than you" nonsense.
I like Rush and Ann, but for different reasons. I even like Neal Boortz most of the time.
It's hard to complain a whole lot about Laura Ingraham, I think.
