Great post. I agree, this is clearly working out exactly as the govt wanted. They create the problem, and then insist that giving them more power is the only way to "solve" the problem...which spirals ever further out of control.

And these are the people whose freedoms were bought with the lives of American servicemen during WWII? It would appear, then, to have been a wasted effort.
