I am off to Moran's to join the rest of the chapter in welcoming MadIvan to New York.

I will attempt to post using my pocket PC and my wireless modem as we haven't arranged for a modem connection with a laptop there is no sense on lugging around the extra weight in addition to my camera and camcoder.

We will try to upload some digital pictures as the party is progressing and hope that AT&T has a CDPD node nearby to transmit.

Barring that, we will continue the thread once we get home.

I just spoke briefly with kristinn. He, Doctor Raoul, GunsareOK, Ligeia, and bmwcyle are there representing the DC Chapter and have met MadIvan, Dutchy, RaceBannon and other members of the NY-NJ-CN Tri-State Chapter (sorry, I don't have the rollcall for the party). Kristinn said some of them toured Ground Zero before the party and they are now having a great time.

I'm sad that I couldn't make it to meet MadIvan and the Tri-State Chapter members; but I know they are having a fantastic time and the after-action report and pictures will be well worth waiting to read.
