TIME once again proves its irrelevance.

I would wager if you ask 1,000 random people if they know who Coleen Rowley, Cynthia Cooper and Sherron Watkins are that less than 5 would even get close. How in the world could the "Persons of the Year" be folks that nobody has heard of?

Oh, way less than 5%. I would say less than half-a-percent. But thanks to Time, the recognition factor for these ladies will skyrocket to.... less than 1%.

But these whistleblowers had no effect or influence. Everyone ignored them. And they didn't go public until it was too late to avoid tragedy. They were pretty lousy whistleblowers because they DIDN'T BLOW THEIR WHISTLES in time.

The TIME MAGAZINE honor is supposed to be for influential people, not for people who would have been influential if they had gone public or if anyone had listened to them.
