I'm a little late to this thread topic, but your commentary is brilliant!
I'm going to keep this post for future reference when that "kwanza" phoney holiday comes 'round again!
I'm especially fuming because I just read my kid's elementary newsletter dated 1/03 and the teachers write about how the children 'celebrated and learned' about all the holidays in the past month
...they name about 10 (some so obscure I have no idea what they were) "holidays" studied and of course the sequence of the holidays listed came down to
.......... kwanza, hannukah, happy new years eve and christmas.
(christmas was dead last in a list of 10 things yet I would bet 90% or more celebrate it)
The PC bs never fails to infuriate me!
