That movie was based on Tom Clacy's book of the same title, but the original plot had radical Muslims as the antagonists, not white neo-Nazis. Of course, that was way too politically incorrect to be showing at such a "sensitive" time for American Muslims, so the movie studio changed the script.

That they did not portray the antagonists in the movie version of sum of all fears as arabs, but rather as neo -nazis is the number ONE reason I did not go see it and will not go. We mustn't portray arabs negatively , must we?. It seems I recall they had no problem portraying the Irish as bad ass IRA terrorists in patriot games. No problem there, huh?. Pc bulls#$t.

Looks like the studio changed the script to be politically correct, and mistakenly ended up very close to the truth. Kind of like the blind hog finding the acorn thing, lol.
