It was, and if I remember correctly it was not that effective in keeping those little fingers off those hot light bulbs. She only did it that one year. For several years she wraped our gifts in newspaper, then in Christmas paper..so we couldn't peek very well. Didn't work either, especially with my brother, he was good at lifting the tape and peeking and putting the tape back down without her knowing about it.
