Yes, Clinton called Fulbright his “mentor,” but some how you feel that isn’t praising Fulbright’s past? You sound like some sort of Clinton apologist if you ask me. At least Lott’s innocent gaffe was just an attempt to make an old man happy rather than erecting a statue of the segregationist he though of as a mentor and visionary.
