Going by Jimmy Carter's record Israel will turn into Iran II.
To: ConservativeMan55
Does anyone really think Israel would have anything to do with Jimmah?
The smartest thing Israel could do is ask Jimmah to negotiate between different Palestinian groups, to see what they would be willing to accept as a permanent settlement. Once he has HAMAS and Al-Aksa nailed down, then it would be worthwhile for Israel to negotiate with them.
In other words, they should give Jimmah an impossible task which he will probably fail at, and if he succeeds, it will only benefit Israel.

Notice that two of the biggest disgraces to this nation will not go away. Not only do we have to thank some American idiots for giving us eight years of the Clintons, but, in by doing so, giving this grinning creep an opportunity to come out from under his toolbox.

Bush to Carter: No thanks. . .

"
Jimmy Carter offers to mediate peace talks between Israel and Palestinians..."This would only mean no more Israel.
The poor cracker either is to stupid to realize that Palistinians want Israel exterminated or else he's too stubborn to admit it.
His record in foreign affairs is a total flop.

Now I'm utterly confuuuuuuused! What's there to negotiate, there is peace! The newspapers said yesterday that he had received his Nobel Prize for brokering peace in the Middle East way back in 1979. Or is it me, and peace is an ongoing, neverending project for gubmint experts, sort of like the War on Poverty and the War on Drugs? Oh, I see now, my mistake, in 1979 Jimmuh declared the War on Peace permanent gubmint program!

Coming off of winning the Nobel Peace Prize, and as a former US President, Carter is in a unique position to try and mediate an end to at least some of the conflict that is going on.
He has credibility with the major players and represents a chance at hope for two peoples who are getting tired of slaughter.
In any event, he can't make the situation any worse. So far as I see the only real reason that FReepers are against the idea is because he used to have a "D" in front of his name.
Put another way: Would you be so opposed if Ronald Reagan regained his mental health and made a similar offer?

On the SAME day that this old fool was getting his lobbied for Putlizer Peace Prize, a North Korean ship was intercepted taking MISSLES to the Middle East. (this is the SAME North Korea that Jimmy Carter told us all had promised HIM that they would NOT make nuclear weapons). The LAST person the WORLD needs to be a mediator is a fool who BELEVES what thug dictators who STARVE their own people will promise.

When will Jimmy learn that the terrorists don't want peace! They want to terrorize! Suprise Suprise!! He has learned that: he merely wants to facilitate Israel's surrender.

This is like a little kid who hits a homerun on a video game and then wants a shot at playing in the majors cause "
he can do it."What a pathetic fool.

We all know Carter is full of crap, he's desperate to re-write history where he is known as the worst fiscal and foreign policy President of all time.

When is this turkey going to quit trying to push himself back into the news? He had his 15 minutes of fame. There oughta be a law against presidents resurrecting themselves (and that goes especially for Bubba!). He was a failure as a president and he has no business trying to inject himself into the Israel situation.

Hey Peanuts, you've already been given the Nobel "Peace Prize" you've been gunning for for the last twenty years. Now please go the hell away before you cause even more damage than you already have.

It is a complete fiction that Jimmy Carter is this great grandiose peace maker. This fiction was of course is reinforced by that farse of giving him the Nobel Peace Price. One must also remember that Yasser Arafat also received the same award and he is hardly a peace maker either. Carter's peace making efforts are the niave efforts of a man who is perhaps even more niave about the ways of the world today than he was when he was president. The Camp David Accords, resulted in what. An end to a conflict between Egypt and Israel? Then why is Egypt entrenched in a ballistic missle program today. Most surely to target Israel while pretending to be for peace. Also look what happened to Egyptian President Sadat when he signed the Camp David Accords. Then there was Carter's North Korean peace deal which the North Koreans clearly treated like a piece of toilet paper and ignored anyway. Carter is not a peacemaker. Just a sad niave fool who still doesn't get it.
