I pepper my grub, which is one of the few things I do liberally...but, that day, I left the seasoning up to my friends.

That morning, there was no poilitics in the conversation, excepting my brief mention that my neighbors musta thought I'd been watching a football game on election night, I whooped it up so much...and even hollered a little.
There have been other occasions, though, when the important things have been discussed...I'm used to being...surrounded.
I know the feeling, my FRiend...my rep's gotten around to the point that now at parties, friends will bring up someone I've never met and start off with something like, "Hey, this is Elliot and he says that Bill Clinton was the greatest President in our lifetime." And then they'll just sit back and watch the fireworks...LOL!! I can literally bring folks to tears if the party's boring and I get a hankerin'!!
In college, my other nickname besides "Mudboy" was "The Jugular"...LOL!! I once made a fraternity pledge brother wet his trousers when I got in his face during Hell Week...and I never touched him...BWAHAHAHAHA!!
He and I are good friends now, but we don't bring up "The Incident"...MUD
