Now actually read the Code of Contact of prisoners of war
during Viet Nam and then after Viet Nam.
And then please explain how either one would apply to a US citizen deprived of due process.

Irrelevant; apples and oranges. Maher's status as a former Green Beret is well-known, and you were the one trying to make excuses for the man "cracking under pressure" of some alleged drugs and confessing. My point is that there were American POWs who did NOT crack under very real pressure, for a much longer period of time and under much more heinous conditions than Maher has been incarcerated. To attempt to compare a convicted civilian murderer's experience with that of genuine POWs is an insult to the POWs.
