"...I also want to annoy leftist wackos ..."

On this we can agree.

> "We don't have sales tax either..."

Well yeah, I actually thought about qualifying that as referring to a general sales tax, but figgered everybody would know what I mean. Fact is, we do have sales tax on many sorts of goods, plus our corporate income taxes and other business taxes and fees add up to plenty and we all know that consumers, not corporations, pay every penny of them in the end. That's pretty much third grade economics, so I omitted the assumed word "general" in my post.

Now see what you went and did? Done got me started. (g)

Just gotta add here at the end, when I say it doesn't bother me a whole lot, that's not to say it doesn't bother me at all. Sometimes you gotta choose your battles. I suppose our legislature would give us self service if we offered something in trade. They'd probably love to take back shall issue.

And just in case you don't know or remember the time, we got shall issue before Texas, so we'll come around on our fueling rights soon enough. There are a lot of things that are higher on my priority list. Right now the struggle here is about taxes and spending, and it's taking all we have to keep these things in check.

We should feel sorry for New Jersey. They don't have self serve or shall issue (and I'll bet most freepers there, if they could choose between the two...) I know if I were there fighting to get shall issue, I'd be displeased to see conservatives and libertarians running around wasting air on self serve gas.

Didn't mean to be picky, . Actually most drivers have no idea what they pay in gasoline sales tax. If the gasoline tax and (not forget the telephone tax) was idiemized on reciept I think consumers would protest.
