You asked: "What is Bush thinking?" I can tell you. The Mexican vote has become a larger voting block than the black vote. He's thinking "HISPANIC VOTES". The GOP has had to start every election since 1932 with 90% of the black vote going to the Dim-o-rats. They cannot afford to lose the Hispanic vote. That would be the demise of the GOP in America. Make no mistake about it. I am a Ronald Reagan style Republican and I HATE NAFTA. But, it's all about votes.

Smearing conservatives as xenophobic is plain wrong. They are angry at a politician who presented himself as a moral man during a presidential election then talks like he doesn't understand the term "illegal" when it is combined with "alien".

I find it hard to continue trusting a President who is trying to get me to go along with an amnesty plan that I know would encourage more incursions along our southern border. Besides, it is plain wrong and a violation of our laws. (It is our laws and justice system that makes the U.S. different than most other place. Here I don't have to bribe a civil clerk to get my car out of impound; I did have to pay a bribe when I lived in Spain.)

A guest worker plan for temporary migrants I can accept. Amnesty for millions who came here illegally? No.

"I think he's describing our President, in regards to this instance."

If Bush lifts that tail, he'll swear he's looking in the mirror.

For my money he can lift that tail and insert his head.

Isn't the middle class being obliterated by the income tax?
My husband and I are "middle class", and we live in Southern Texas. We are more concerned with the income tax system then a few trucks from Mexico traveling our roads.

The income tax, the debt, the H1-B visas, the trucks, the imports... Dubya's coming at you from all angles.

I had to remove your comment from parenthesis, because it is important in itself.

We are supposed to have an open and aboveboard system, but we don't. We just don't allow the poor and middle class to use bribery. Our form of bribery is the $5000 campaign contribution, or buying the $25,000 seat at the party banquet. The payoffs are the cushy job for the spouse or brother-in-law of the politician, or the inside stock tip. Remember McAuliffe and the Global Crossing tip? Hillary "cattle futures"?

How about the Senator's law firm getting huge retainers from influence buyers? How about the Customs Inspector taking the payoff?

The largest corruption is the backscratching between Government and Corporations. That is the impetus for the dissolution of the United States. Corporations don't like citizens, they like cheap and compliant laborers. If they can't find them here, they find them in China, India, or Mexico; and, when all else fails, they import them legally (H1-B) or illegally -- whatever it takes to pump up their wealth, not the overall wealth or cultural health of the nation. Corporate socialism, or, to use the classic definitiion, Fascism, is every bit as bad as any other form. That's what the flood of immigration is really about, isn't it? Government, by neglecting one of its' prime duties, defense of sovereignty; is subsidizing 5% of the population at the expense of the other 95%.

Ah, but of course, Bush doesn't think of it as an invasion. And there were no Mexican terrorists on board the planes of 9/11. Anyone know the percentage of Muslim population in Mexico?

What's to prevent state and local governments from allowing these contraptions on the road?

Forget any election in 2004.  At this rate America won't make it to 2004.  The globalists are instituting the New World Order and turning America into a third world country.  As they break the national sovereignty of all nations for the money and make pacts with the Muslims who do it to conquer and convert the world to Islam by force.  The immigrants are the fanners and among them will be Chinese from Panama and Mexico.  Horrors!

Jer 51:1 Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will raise up against Babylon, and against them that dwell in the midst of them that rise up against me, a destroying wind;
2 And will send unto Babylon fanners,* that shall fan** her, and shall empty her land: for in the day of trouble they shall be against her round about.

*fanners: 2114. zuwr

be a foreigner, strange, profane; specifically (active participle) to

**fan: 2219. zarah

I'm ready to start protesting the illegal aliens in the U.S. and demanding that our borders closed down and locked. Demanding deportation of all illegals and no amnesty. Right now I'm so angry about the Invasion! that I could spit .... when Bush realizes that he has lost the support of millions of registered voters (to go running after illegals in the hope of gaining a few thousand votes) it will be too late. The clock is ticking.
