Resources would be more efficiently used if we didn't have to unload and reload every truck that comes over the border.

They could just change cabs if they wanted any kind of security. Letting non-English, unskilled drivers over our highways will cost in the long-run but it's going to cost American taxpayers.

Reagan first proposed NAFTA in 1979. Mexican Truck Access is part of NAFTA. Do the facts bother you.

That problem is going to be even harder to solve with Bush having two more years to flood our borders with millions more fiscally and socially liberal, legal and illegal immigrants.

People are waking up very quickly all over the country to this illegal invasion. Unless the government stops it, they're going to be getting an earful that makes what's going on now seem deafening.

"What is Bush thinking??"

He's thinking that too much stink is being raised about illegals sneaking across the boarder. He's figured out a way to let them get smuggled in by trucks.

I'll put my skills up against anyone, and if I can cut it, I'll cut it.

For ten cents on the dollar. LOL

Since you're the one saying Reagan is responsible for these trucks, you'll need to show me where his Administration brokered the deal allowing them in. My recollection is this part of the pact came from daddy Bush. But even if it is from Reagan's era, W. could have prevented it. He broke Congress' arm to get it passed after they tried to stop it earlier this year.

Do those facts bother you? They sure as heck bother me.

No way can Reagan be blamed for this. The buck stops at Bush on this one.

If that's the case, then you haven't seen any unsafe trucks in your neighborhood. Come to S. Chicago/Gary, you'll see them every day. And they are American, for all the rest of you knuckle-draggers.

The "bots" don't want to hear what, exactly? That some fat-a** Teamster might have to cut his rates? If safety was an issue, then we would ban American trucks from our own highways.

There are unsafe trucks in Gary, Ind and on Chicago's 'Southside', so let Mexico's '18-wheelers-of-death' in, too.

That's logical. NOT!

Mexican Truck access went thru binding arbitration long before Bush entered office.

You either let them in or damages will have to be paid.

Mexicans have ownership in US trucking. Americans have ownership in Mexican trucking.

yes, as a matter of fact it does!!!! I was against nafta in the beginning and am really against it now!!

I am a trucker and we haul stuff to the border to be shipped across and manufactured and brought back across the border to be delivered to distribution centers for that company.

proctor & gamble is one, firestone is another that i am directly familiar with.....what i really don't understand though, is how unions keep supporting democrats when they have regulated everything under the sun out of business.

El Presidente Fox is well aware of the capitalist system, he benefitted greatly from it....why in the hell doesn't he put his own people to work in his own country....oh yeah, just a thought, but maybe if he keeps them poor, he can remain in power forever and live better than he ever dreamed of here in the U.S.A. He doesn't have to actually do anything, just make them think he is doing something and the something he wants to do is send them all here to work and send money home.

I generally praise President Bush, but sometimes i just want to smack him up side the head with a dead chicken!!!

Even if American trucks were in such bad shape, which of course is a load of crap fabricated by you, it still wouldnt be as bad as the drugs, illegals and threat of terrorism coming across the border.
