I also like bike riding. I still don't think that will do enough to stop any heart probs when later, but maybe I am wrong.

You also have to eat healthy and keep the cholesterol down .. among other things .. it's really not that hard

Drinking green tea helps .. my hubby drinks the lipton ice tea kind .. eating oatmeal for breakfast is good ..

However be very careful with the foods that say Low Fat .. because most of the time they are LOADED with sugar to make it taste better which is not good for you ..

On the up side .. researchers also say Red Wine helps keep cholesterol levels down .. LOL

Basically you don't want to live your adult life popping pills if you can avoid it .. you are still young and if you watch what you eat and keep active .. that is a good way to avoid these problems

Oh and also have check ups with the doctor

Any form of aerobic activity has coronary benefits. Since you enjoy riding a bicycle, hop on it and keep going.

According to heart charts, your age dictates that 80% of your max heartrate to be 160bpm. 65% of this rate is 130bpm. Fat buring starts around the 50% mark (if I understand this correctly) so even moderate bicycle riding has many benefits. (besides needing to spend less later on for pills.)
