More and more we are going to be seeing articles with a thrust of dividing President Bush from his base of support as the Dems are going to be increasingly desperate.

I'm not going to let these people jerk my chain all the time. I'm going to wait until the President actually does something, and judge him on the act, not the rumor, because there are going to be plenty of rumors.

So far, I've sent money to the NRA to finance lobbying for arming pilots and for fighting CFR, and we have a Homeland Security bill now waiting signature that allows arming pilots (and I have a nice letter from my Congressman informing me that we were going to get it) and we have the Supreme Court recently deciding to take the case against the CFR law (Bush strategery to get the parts he didn't like declared unconstitutional and keeping the parts he did like that raised individual contribution limits).

PLUS, and a HUGE plus, we now have a Republican Senate again! Mostly due to the hard work and strategery of President Bush.

So, I'm not going to let these articles yank my chain every few days with rumors.

Ambassador Tony Garza's comments are rumors?

Good points. As long as Americans can clean up voter fraud and make citizenship a real priviledge to get, and as long as aliens can be tracked coming and going, and as long as imports of materials can be observed, then maybe guest workers can be accomodated.

There's a lot of work to do. Who knows the costs to taxpayers? High in any case.

I agree. I want to hear it from the man himself, if not Colin Powell. Rhetoric or not, however, I will not support the President if he pushes this.

"More and more we are going to be seeing articles with a thrust of dividing President Bush from his base of support as the Dems are going to be increasingly desperate."

Yeah, it's all a conspiracy against Bush. You say your going to "wait" until you see some action of Bush? Why? One action your seeing, is him doing nothing, that's an action. Another action you have seen is to watch him try, at least twice, to sneak 245i past the taxpayers. Another action you have heard, is from his own mouth, many times. "I want to see a Free Trade Zone from Canada to the tip of South America" blah, blah, and "If you can make five dollars an hour in Mexico, and fifty an hour in Detroit, your going to come aren't you, (wink, wink), and all his other statements about his joy over the amount of "hard working" illegals are in the country. So I don't know what the defining moment of truth would be for you, but many of us have already climbed that mountain and come to a decision.

These are Mr. Garza's own comments, representing America in Mexico. How is this 'yanking your chain'? The Wash Times is hardly a 'chain yanker' for the most part. If Bush hadn't signed CFR, it wouldn't be left to 'legislate' from the judiciary branch. C'mon, wake up!

You're right. Reading the article, I don't see where it actually says Bush is currently pushing for amnesty. It's more about Garza paying lip service to these Mexicans. The part about "when the economy gets better" is suspect too. It's as if he is just putting them off. I would prefer stronger language from the U.S. about this, though. The public tide is turning more and more against these illegal, criminal mooching invaders and I hope the President realizes it.

Excellent point. Until Bush actually grants amnesty, no reason to blame him. But, we might as well keep our voices heard and help him understand the outcome of such action.

I AGREE!

How's this for a scenario...

We close the borders ...stoping the leak, so to speak, and in the meantime, we're appeasing Pres Fox (who can be QUITE a handful when he chooses to obsess about something!) and then, if the situation arises that we have no oil, because of the war in Iraq, etc., we negotiate a deal for access to all of Mexico's resources, if we work something out with the ILLEGALS (I'm not afraid to call them that). America wins, Fox wins, Bush receives more of the Hispanic vote, AND we have a way to stop the flood of illegals coming here from Mexico.

Okay, THEN, we're talking just about 2004 election time. We elect a Republican Governor and legislature in CA, and Bush pours some Fed $ into CA to take care of educating these people and they all become good tax paying citizens, who aren't afraid to work.

It's not so bizarre to think it COULD work!

We have a smart President. He and those decision makers that surround him are also smart, and really DO have our best interests at heart...let's let this whole thing play out, as PR stated above, and then we'll have something REAL to talk about.

IMHO....NordP
