We have Corky's here in Nashville (home of the original Tony Roma's, which no longer exists, darnit) but I've only been there once. I miss the Tony Roma's something terrible (and their onion loaf, of course). The chain just doesn't quite capture what the original had! But there is an amazing privately-owned BBQ place in Wilson County, near Mt. Juliet (home of Charlie Daniels!). Their BBQ is slow-smoked, and I have never had anything like it. Melts in your mouth like butter! That is some amazing BBQ!! Best I've ever had. Kicks Tony Roma's tush, even! I am getting hungry on this thread!! ;-}

BBQ Blessings,
Beep!

Sounds like a winner. Memphis also has the Rondevue (sp?) but it is down town in a high crime area. And you can't CARRY in those resturants because they also serve beer. Appleby's serves some good ribs too. We prefer to dine at home so the frozen Corky's ribs suit just fine when you add a baked potatoe with cheese and garlic bread :-)
