I am absolutely convinced that early voting, mail in voting, absentee voting are Rat scams....can someone dispell this notion? Absentee voting has increased from 5% a few years ago to 30% of votes today.

I guess I am a real hard*ss on this issue as on some others. My opinion is that early voting should be done away with and a person should have to submit a very good reason to vote absentee and when someone does vote absentee, great pains should be taken to insure that the individual casts only 1 vote. I believe that if a person can't show up at the polls on election day, then he really doesn't care about the process and if he doesn't care about it, we are better off without his vote. We don't need people voting in our elections who can't be bothered without incentives.
